Vintage G Plan, Mid Century Tropical Floral TV Unit

Made by G-Plan E Gomme in the 1950's, this mid-century sideboard has been refinished to compliment the quality of this iconic brand. Now sold, this forms part of our Made to Order collection, whereby we can replicate this design on another G Plan sideboard.

Adaptable as a tv unit, large sideboard or drinks station, this bespoke is fantastic for modern day storage solutions for your home or office.

The sideboard retains all the original hardware, which is restored, together with the floating legs. The top of the Tola wood is fully refurbished.

The 3 drawers are hand painted inside, and the tropical pomegranate print decoupaged to line each.

The front door fronts are decoupaged with a stunning pomegranate floral paper, with a custom green paint complimenting the colour of the tropical leaves.

Behind the bi-fold doors, the inside has an optional extra of a dramatic refinish with a gold paint, a taped design and the following of the green exterior to create a further design element.

The middle compartment has two glass holder inserts, fantastic for multi-use as a home bar.

The two internal shelves have been gilded with gold metal leaf and sealed with multiple layers of protective varnish. All painted surfaces are sealed to create a finish to last.
