FAQs

We hope to cover most of your questions below

We can ship Worldwide. To obtain an exact quote, please contact us with your full address/zip code.  We only use trusted insured freight providers.  For items going air freight, items are packed with our forward carrier.  A bespoke wooden crate is built for transit, the item is then wrapped, and the crate is foam filled. Custom and local charges are not inclusive and where required would form part of your delivery quotation (otherwise would be payable on your side)

Prices do vary depending on size, weight and your location.

  • Ireland: £80-£250+
  • Europe: £200-£800+
  • USA: £700-£2000+

Delivery is doorstep delivery; it is strongly advised that items are unpacked and checked upon delivery with the courier in attendance.  By doing so, any issues can be swiftly registered with the courier and meet the requirements of the forward carrier's insurance.

Full updates are provided throughout the shipping together with international tracking information.

If we don’t have what you are looking for in our stock, we can happily source a selected item of furniture for you. The booking process of deposit through to instalments would still apply.  The non-refundable deposit booking would be required to book in our custom diary and to source.  Once we have found and agreed on an item of furniture, a 50% deposit invoice would be sent across.  This would include a £65 delivery charge for couriering the item to us.  Once work is completed, delivery is largely free to UK mainland. Please read our Delivery Policy.

We don’t just work on our own furniture. Family heirlooms, or your very own precious items that fit perfectly in terms of size in your home are always welcome for a custom finish. I work with you every step of the way to update your furniture into a bespoke item to match your current style and décor. The non-refundable deposit booking would be required to book in our custom diary.  Once your design has been finalised a 50% deposit invoice would be sent across.  This would include a collection fee of £65 for UK mainland (other areas may incur an additional charge)  Once work is completed, delivery is largely free to UK mainland.  Please re our Delivery Policy.

Your furniture is thoroughly wrapped ready for transit ready to be delivered via a select group of trusted couriers.  On certain items, we deliver in person, this depends on distance, item and our workload.  Nationwide couriers tend to work on a one-man, ground floor delivery service.  Help and assistance will be required on your side to unload the item.  If this is not possible, we can request a two-man lift quotation. If your item is to be taken via stairs, we would need to source a provider who will accept this, a quotation would be required.  There will likely incur a surcharge to Wales, Scotland and remote areas.  Delivery is usually between 1-2 weeks.

As with any shop bought item, the same due care needs to be taken with any refinished, painted item. Painted furniture requires a 28 day cure time. Please within this period and beyond be careful with hot or cold items on the surface. Tea coasters and mats are advised to prevent surface abrasion. A damp microfibre cloth is ideal for cleaning as opposed to silicon polishes which create a building residue on your items surface.

For decoupage, including fabric.  Paper decoupage and murals are sealed with 8 layers of professional decorators' varnish.  This will help protect the paper for everyday use. In the case of any spillage wiping dry with a micro fibre cloth will be sufficient.  Accidental impact and friction on your furniture, regardless of a wood surface or paper would potentially leave a mark or dent.

With fabric decoupage, velvet is sealed with layers of waterproof scotch guard. Scotch guard over time can require a fresh application. Instructions would be provided in your care package.  Linen decoupage is sealed with varnish.

The inside of vintage cabinets, or any wood areas will benefit from an annual application of furniture salve to retain the conditioning of the wood.
