I am the face and artisan behind Boscastle Road.
I have long had a passion...
For vintage items and interiors. My own home is an eclectic mix of beloved vintage upcycling projects and finds. Boscastle Road was a natural creative expression born from our love of Cornwall, and in particular the magical Cornish harbour of Boscastle. It is here that our love of vintage first started and has since grown to become a thriving business. Drawn to the colours of the breathtaking landscape of the area, our own designs gravitate towards sea blues and a medley of greens.
Our story truly began…
In the 2020 period when I decided to leave my career as a freelance land agent/researcher and pursue furniture refinishing full-time. Since then our journey has been forever evolving. The desire to learn, excel and improve techniques is always present. Sustainability is at the core of our meticulous restorations, breathing new life into the discarded and overlooked, transforming to beautiful and striking pieces with modern appeal.
Stylistically, Boscastle Road is truly a rich mix of eclectic, retro vintage furniture.
My expertise lies in enhancing the original character of a vintage piece. I find the Art Nouveau/Art Deco eras inspirational, together with the beauty of floral/chinoiserie styles. I take great pride in creating one-of-a-kind, bespoke pieces of furniture that are timeless, innovative and unique.
